Sippy Sidhu‘s murder case has finally seen an update on Wednesday, 15th June 2022, when Sidhu’s former girlfriend Kalyani Singh was arrested for murdering him after almost seven years of the incident. She has been remanded in 4-day CBI custody.
Kalyani had allegedly shot Sidhu four times with a 12-bore gun on 20th September in Sector 27 park in Chandigarh after calling him there. She supposedly contacted him two days before the murder from someone else’s number.
This has brought a sigh of relief for Sidhu’s family, as his brother and his mother, who had been accusing Kalyani of murdering Sidhu as had declined her marriage proposal for the latter.
As per Sidhu’s brother, Kalyani Singh is the daughter of the former Chief of Justice Sabina Singh, Himachal Pradesh High Court. Her mother was the active judge at the time of the incident, she was later transferred to Rajasthan in 2016, and the case was given to CBI, and now she is to retire next year which is the reason why the case has taken a direction now only.
