Rohit Ranjan was released on bail after 12 hours of interrogation by the Noida police late on Tuesday, 5th July 2022 after his arrest early in the morning the same day from his house in Ghaziabad.
He was arrested in relation to the complaint filed against him for a misleading video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi telecasted on his show for which, Rohit apologized later on his show DNA.
The Supreme Court has decided for the hearing of his case to be held on Thursday, 7th July 2022 in response to Rohit’s plea for an urgent hearing on Wednesday, 6th July 2022. The police investigation into the matter is still undergoing.
