Montrezl Harrell started his career by playing basketball when he was in high school and later played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals.
He made his debut in the national team at the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship and won a gold in Brazil. As a junior, he was awarded the Karl Malone Award in 2015 while playing as the power forward.
