Montrezl Harrell started his career by playing basketball when he was in high school and later played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals.
He made his debut in the national team at the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship and won a gold in Brazil. As a junior, he was awarded the Karl Malone Award in 2015 while playing as the power forward.
He made it into the NBA draft in 2015 in the second round and was selected by Houston Rockets. In 2017, he made it into another team called Angeles Clippers and played for it till 2020. He got the title of the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2020.
In 2020, Harrell was signed by Los Angeles Lakers and played for them for a year till 2021, followed by Washington Wizards. He is currently playing for Charlotte Hornets since February 2022.
