In 1991, Radico established a malt spirit plant with a capacity of 460 KL per annum, a soya oil and rapeseed extraction plant, and a biogas cogeneration and secondary treatment plant in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. The company also upgraded its distillery unit by installing a new copper distillation plant and a fully automated bottling line. Prior to this, Lalit’s cousin and others managed the distillery.
