Marlee Matlin was born on 24th August 1965 in Morton Grove, Illinois, United States. Marlee Matlin is 57 years old. 

Marlee was known to be American by nationality and she belongs to the Judaism religion. Marlee entered Harper College in Palatine, Illinois, after graduating from John Hersey High School at Arlington Heights. Marlee had intended to pursue a career in law enforcement.

Marlee Matlin lost all her hearing when she was just 18 months old and could only hear a little from her left ear, due to fevers and illness. Matlin was raised in a Reform Jewish household with her two brothers Marc and Eric.

Marlee Matlin’s ancestral roots are from Russia and Poland. Marlee went to Congregation Bene Shalom, a synagogue for the Deaf.  Marlee Matlin studied Hebrew linguistically and managed to learn her Torah portion in due course.
