The Open Pro is an EDC pen with a green pointer beam and a LED light. It can be separated or used as a flashlight or a pen. The pen body is longer and slimmer than the Open 2 for a more relax grip, while the LED light (5 to 120 lumens) is moved onto the pocket clip so that the light would not blocked when attached to a pocket. At the tail of the LED part is also a green pointer, which is right for marking and pointing. The L-type bolt controls the pen, the green pointer, and the LED light. Green light
The green light comes out the top of the pen which permits the pen to be happily grip in the hand to point with and is helpful for presentations, tour guides highlighting areas along the way or just playing with the pet. It is a class one laser which is deemed to present no serious danger to eyes or skin, anyway, we advise that it is not be directly shone into the skin or the eyes, and should only be managed by responsible adults.
L shape button
The pen nib is retractable and can be showed by sliding the button, which is placed on the body, along the L shape track until it locks into place and you can then start writing. The pen has black ink and writes very perfect, while the twisted indent design in the aluminium body gives a best grip. An ink refill is also added can be simply swapped over when the first one runs out.
The L shape key also controls the features of the white light and green laser by pushing upwards. The access the laser green pointer push up, grip, and release the button with the light off and push again to turn it off.
Light modes
A fast push up and release will turn on the white light which forever default to the moonlight mode when first turned on, and then the modes can be cycled by pushing the button up and gripping it to cycle through mid, low, low, high, etc, and released to pick the mode. High can be directly accessed from off with a fast double push, and other fast double push after will revert to moonlight mode or it can be directly accessed with the light or in the same way, and the next double push will instead revert to the previous brightness level.
Battery
The Open Pro is run by a built-in 110 mAh lithium polymer battery, which is charged through the USB type-C charging port. To charge the light just unscrew the top area of the penlight, just below the blue decorative ring, and place the base half to one side. Plug in the added USB Type-C cable into the charging port and the plug the other end into a standard USB-A port or a USB compatible adapter. The charging indicator light below the port will go red while charging is in progress and turn off once charging is done after approximately fifty-five minutes.
